Ever growing love for Elie Saab...

The first time I truly noticed the stunning designs of Elie Saab was when Rihanna wore that stunning red sheer gown to the American Music Awards in 2010. Since then my infatuation for his designs have only grown stronger and my heart skipped a beat when I saw his Spring'12 couture collection. The things I would do to wear one of these gowns, even just for a second! Pastel colours were a key trend for his collection, as well as for the season in general, featuring a rainbow palette of cream, pink, peach, mint, yellow and baby blue. The garments are delicate and simple yet sparkly and eye-catching. When modelled they look effortless and weightless, almost floating down the catwalk. Many embellishing techniques were used on the dresses and a variety of necklines were shown throughout the collection, ranging from high necks to deep V necks and long sleeves to off the shoulder to strapless. Each garment is unique in a different way, creating a stunning collection. Congratulations Elie Saab!
